- Build Your Own Earth Oven - This excellent book describes in detailed steps how to build you own earth oven from readily available materials at little or no cost. Also includes quite a bit of information on bread baking.
- Hand Cranked Blender - This blender is great for if you have no electricity or solar panels (electric blenders/food processors pull a lot of electricity). It is hand cranked, and so far it proves to be well made and able to chop up even frozen fruits and such in smoothies.
